May 20th, 2019

The European unit of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) is holding its 29th meeting in Helsinki, Finland on the 26th-30th May 2019.  This five-day event will cover a range of topics in the areas of ecotoxicology, environmental chemistry and exposure assessment, environmental policy, risk assessment and management. We are proud to announce that PFA will travel to Helsinki to attend.

This years theme

With a key theme of sustainability, the aim of this year’s conference is to ‘contribute to our global goal of creating sustainable future societies’. SETAC Europe’s annual conferences provide a meeting point for scientists from various disciplines and backgrounds. These include scientists from academia, business, governments and NGOs; with insightful presentations and poster sessions covering the latest developments in the field.  SETAC Helsinki will also feature a variety of training, networking, social events and learning opportunities.

Who are SETAC?

SETAC was formed in 1979 as a non-profit organisation to provide a forum for individuals and institutions. These organisations are often engaged in education, research and development, ecological risk assessment and life-cycle assessment, chemical manufacture and distribution, management and regulation of natural resources, and the study, analysis, and solution of environmental problems.

Our scientific staff from PFA look forward to attending and meeting you at the conference. Our representatives can also be found at Booth 57 throughout the event.

PFA’s expert team of environmental scientists and ecotoxicologists have in-depth knowledge of chemical hazard, exposure and safety assessment, providing consultancy services in the REACH and biocides frameworks as well as tailored scientific projects to meet our clients’ needs. To stay at the cutting edge of these services, our teams regularly attend professional trader shows, expos and undertake continued professional development. This ensures that regardless of the type of support you need from our team, you can be confident that our staff are up to date with the latest developments in their field.
